I appreciated its superfriendly employees.
My stay was pleasant on our road trip. I could see inner courtyard from the window of the queen room. I had a couch and a safe in the room. The location of the hotel was central, very close to the center of town, all the shops, restaurants and the beach and another quite nights sleep. It also was in centre of quadrangle. Everything was simply very good.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance of eateries and convenience stores, which made grabbing meals easy. The rooms were lovely and quiet, allowing for a restful night’s sleep after long days of work. The management and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ready to assist with any requests. I particularly appreciated the lift access to the upper floors, making it convenient after a long day. While the pool area was temporarily closed for refurbishment, I could tell it would be a great spot for relaxation once reopened, with ample seating to soak up the sun.
Nothing to improve.

The heater was effective. It was clean. Location was good.
Shower worked but was a very snug fit, not much room in it. Mini-bar had no beverages in it except for milk for the coffee/tea facilities. It was very very tired looking and for the price we felt it was quite pricey for the standard it was. Heating in Reception area would be welcoming upon arrival.

Great location from the main shopping strip, and 10 minute walk from botanic gardens. Impeccably clean rooms with electric blankets and particularly nice views.

Reasonably close to main street and a good walk to Flagstaff Hill. Comfortable Bed.
Curtains hanging down. Carpet dirty. Toilet seat loose. Dripping tap. Light fitting left bare. Grotty walls.

not a lot. location was on the main road, which I knew. but we backed onto this road and got a lot of road noise.
it was dark, dismal and ready for the old "renovator" to come in and spruce the place up a bit. no service staff entered the room during our 2 night stay. same towels etc for our stay.

Location was great Cleanliness of the hotel was good.
We booked 3 rooms, of which we had to cancel 1.5 days prior to arrival. Given I only made the booking hours before the 2 day rule, we didn't think we would have too much trouble, as when we arrived the room had already been let out as there were no vacancy in the hotel. Upon our arrival at 7.45pm we were advised that the hotel restaurant would not take us (paying customers!) for dinner, as they have taken a booking of 30 earlier, and that the waiting time would be too long. When we told the owner that we don't mind waiting, she advised us immediately that the chef would not take our booking as it would be too much for the kitchen to handle. So we went elsewhere for dinner. The next morning when we woke up, we could not go for breakfast as offered in our booking, because the restaurant had water damage. So again we needed to go elsewhere. At which point she advised us that she is still going to charge us for 50% of the 3rd room, due to the fact that we cancelled the booking only 24 hrs prior to arrival and that policy is 2 days starting at midnight!! She said that Booked.net would charge her and that she would need to wear the cost. Contradicting the email I received from Booked.net that read that the owner had refused to allow us to cancel the booking. Even though she had let the room out in the meantime! If she lost the money and didn't have a replacement booking, I might've understood, but this was certainly not the case as she made such a big song and dance of how she couldn't let us in her restaurant due to how fully booked she is upon check-in! Also the sign on the hotel said no vacancy. When we pointed this out, she was extremely rude and loud, in front of other customers that was waiting tocheck out, and it was a very embarrassing experience for us.
